  • Jake Ethridge

    Founding Partner

    Jake founded eyecandy in 1997 with a steadfast commitment to artisanship and providing clients with masterfully built signs.

    In the sign business since 1988, today Jake is a pillar of the industry, sharing his manufacturing knowledge on large-scale construction projects across the country.

    Jake breathes life into 2-dimensional design. His innovative thinking and creativity can make almost anything possible. If you want your project to float, Jake will find a way to make it float!

  • Allison Moz

    Wayfinding Partner

    Allison joined eyecandy in 2005. Formally trained in fine art and design, Allison works in partnership with her clients to turn their visions and goals into engaging and inspiring designs.

    Allison is also a major contributor to rapidly changing accessibility legislation in Canada. As an RHFAC professional and wayfinding expert, she contributes to multiple provincial and national committees to advance accessibility standards for wayfinding and beyond.

    With her expertise, your signage project will meet the latest national and provincial accessibility guidelines.

  • Scott Sherwood

    Production Manager

    With 30+ years in the sign industry, Scott applies lean manufacturing principles to all of our custom projects to maximize timelines, efficiencies and material resources.

    His ability to blend the craft of traditional carved wooden signs and gold gilding with modern manufacturing practises, makes Scott the perfect fit for our team.

  • Conor McLaughlin

    Designer

    A fine arts and design graduate from NSCAD University, Conor applies his quintessential design sensitivities to every project, from boutique signs to wayfinding designs, and everything in between.

    His technical skills and focused attention, along with his knowledge of Canadian standards for wayfinding and accessibility, allow him to design thoughtful, efficient wayfinding systems for any sized facility.

    Production Design

    Formally trained at NSCAD University, Kelsey’s work integrates innovative design with best practices in manufacturing. Kelsey is an RHFAC professional and contributes to accessible wayfinding projects.

  • Kieran Gilmore

    Designer

    With a degree from the University of Alberta in Industrial Design Kieran brings a blend of artistry and technical knowledge. Kieran is a fantastic teammate; intelligent and intuitive, he rounds out the design team with his passion for illustration bringing a skillful hand and artist’s eye to his work.

    Sign Fabricator

    Wyatt is a NSCAD graduate in sculpture and has a background in cabinet making and building. Wyatt is our resident problem-solver, constantly coming up with creative solutions and advancing eyecandy’s commitment to innovation.

    Wyatt loves to create and build and does so while keeping everyone laughing and the snack cupboard stocked.

    Fabricator

    Iain's background in carpentry and his work in computerized stone carving has allowed him to develop an intimate understanding of the relationship between design and technology.

    Iain uses his extensive technical knowledge to advise our design team and his exceptional organization skills to keep our fabrication process running as efficiently as possible.

    Shawn has over 14 years of professional painting experience and a background in automotive refinishing, making him a huge asset to our team.

    Whether he’s spraying or doing fine, detailed work, Shawn is a talented artist who brings exceptional skills to every job he touches resulting in a remarkable, finished product every time.

    Nils joins eyecandy after working as a professional photographer for over 12 years. A graduate of Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Nils brings a dedication to art and a robust work ethic that keeps our fabrication team strong.

    Lead Installer

    Thanks to Dave’s art degree from Dalhousie University and a decade of experience in the construction industry, he truly understands the aesthetics of a building. As our lead installer, his speciality is bringing our client’s vision to life.

    Dave is always ready to offer his expertise on site to ensure our signs are installed accurately, attractively, and safely.

    He brings creativity and authenticity to all his interactions, and ensures that his work is always in the client’s best interest.
